‘EPIC at Home’ Study at the University of Leeds

Researchers at the School of Healthcare, University of Leeds, are commencing a study of different types of integrated (health and social) care that is delivered at people’s homes (in the community). ‘EPIC at Home’ (Evaluating Provision of Integrated Care at Home) is funded by the National Institute of Health and Care Research (NIHR).

A Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) Group will provide guidance and oversight for the study. The EPIC PPIE Group had its inaugural meeting at Leeds University on 23rd April 2026 and is hoped to reach a size of 6-8 people.

The PPIE Group will help the researchers to plan the study, ensure that it works well for those who take part, and contribute to improving research about home care and personalised care.

A few places are still available and volunteers are invited to join. PPIE group members should ideally have experience of home care themselves, or through a relative or friend, and/or have experience of home care and PPIE work. They may live anywhere in the UK.

The EPIC PPIE Group will meet no more than 6 times up to October 2027. Meetings may be online or in-person/hybrid format. One-to-one meetings are also an option if preferred.

Participants will receive a shopping voucher for every meeting they attend, in accordance with NIHR guidance.
